This study focuses on the interface between the state regular school system and Waldorf schools. It sheds light on the school reality in Waldorf schools and reveals the weaknesses of the state school system as well as the actual actions of its teachers. On one hand, it explains the motivations of parents and children for leaving the state regular primary school; on the other hand, it provides a clear picture of learning and living in a Waldorf school. Through a survey, 478 parents of transfer students who were attending the first to fifth grades of a Waldorf school at the time of the survey provided information about the changes in their child after the school switch, as well as their own satisfaction. In comparing the two school systems, the author outlines the characteristics of a "good" school where children learn with joy and success. Final reform.
