Science and Technology Studies is an interdisciplinary and primarily international field of research that examines the interactions between science, technology, and society. Through both theory and empirical research, it explores the increasing scientification of technology and society, the technologization of science and society, as well as the socialization of science and technology. By focusing on 'science and technology in action,' science and technology research is skeptical of the enclosure of various epistemological approaches and is sensitive to the inclusion and exclusion of different groups and actors within scientific discourses. This volume of key works in Science and Technology Studies contributes to making the perspectives of science and technology research in the German-speaking world more visible.
