An idea is spreading: to redefine the social and societal responsibility - as a field of action for social entrepreneurship in the truest sense. With social entrepreneurship and social business, approaches have been developed to generate social value and sustainably solve societal problems using entrepreneurial methods - whether in poverty alleviation, education, development policy, or social work as a profession. The central concern of the contributions in this volume is to place the core idea of social entrepreneurship and social business within the socio-political debate, providing further impulses for educators, students, practitioners, and interested parties.
