Rahel Müller de Menezes investigates the professional social work and social pedagogy actions within the administrative-organizational context, using the example of professionals in social services in Switzerland. The empirical study identified four types of approaches to case handling, which significantly differ in their potential for supporting clients. The advocacy type of case-specific alignment meets the criteria of social work professionalism, while the other types only partially or do not meet these criteria at all, as clients receive insufficient or inappropriate support, or are administratively and financially penalized for failing to meet requirements.
