Product details

In recent years, there has been an increasing discussion about social spaces, both scientifically and politically. In the traditional welfare state, the national integration space was the dominant area. Since the 1970s, and more so since the 1990s, there has been a noticeable emergence of a post-welfare state arrangement that increasingly focuses on spaces below the national level. This changed discourse on space and the associated altered spatial orders are presented in this introduction using the example of social work: What is actually meant by social space and a reorientation of social work based on it? How is it that spatial dimensions are becoming increasingly relevant not only in social work but in social policy as a whole? These questions are addressed in this introduction for students and professionals alike.
