The book provides a comprehensible introduction to the videographic method. It is aimed at researchers who wish to interpret "natural" situations involving interaction and communication through the use of video data. The volume offers an overview of the current state of the various methods of video data analysis that have flourished in recent years. This serves as a backdrop for determining the methodological principles of videography as an interpretative approach. Focused ethnography is presented in detail with examples as the foundation of videography, as well as video interaction analysis as the core of analyzing data collected through videography.
