For a long time, there have been complaints that female politicians receive insufficient attention in the media. When they are reported on, their appearance often plays a larger role than their political work. Nowadays, women are more frequently represented in politics than they were a few years ago, and they are increasingly occupying positions that were considered male domains. The contributions in this volume explore whether the media's treatment of female politicians has changed, how women in politics are reported on today, whether there is still reason for complaint, and if so, what the reasons are.
