Volume I of the Pipeline Construction Handbook is now available in its 4th edition and summarizes the existing expertise in the fields of planning, design, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance in a proven manner. In addition to the significant updates regarding standards and regulations, particular attention is drawn to the adoption of the new guideline for hazard labeling, which results in a more differentiated classification of fluids in the Pressure Equipment Directive. Further implications of the revisions to the Pressure Equipment Directive, the regulations concerning equipment and activities in explosive atmospheres, as well as the Operational Safety Regulation on the concerns of pipeline construction have been taken into account in the 4th edition. Additionally, Chapter 2 has been expanded, for example, to include pipelines in clean rooms or underground pipelines, along with separate sections.
