The guideline is aimed at social institutions (excluding hospitals) where laundry is washed or outsourced to external service providers. The new and independent approach is that the laundry supply in social institutions is consistently aligned with the needs of the users. Thus, the guideline supports staff in providing user-oriented, high-quality, and legally secure laundry services. It explains the prerequisites in a practical and action-oriented manner. Implementation options are presented, ranging from collecting to washing and sorting laundry according to residents, as well as training staff and managing quality and complaints within the institutions. In the second edition, the guideline has been fundamentally revised and updated to the latest standards.
