Product details
January 1968. The newly married couple Godard-Wiazemsky moves into their love nest in the Latin Quarter of Paris. Godard is thirty-seven, Wiazemsky is twenty years old. When the revolt breaks out in May, Anne follows it with sympathy and interest, without becoming politicized herself. She appears on camera with Jacques Brel and occasionally participates in the demonstrations on roller skates. Anne Wiazemsky recounts filming in Italy or the return trip from Cannes with Gilles Deleuze, her childhood friend Daniel Cohn-Bendit, and the encounter with the Beatles in London, where Paul McCartney invites her to drink tea with him under the table. While she enjoys her youth and newfound fame, becoming more mature and liberated, Godard increasingly radicalizes. He dreams of a revolutionary cinema and becomes pathologically jealous of his young wife.
