This book provides a theoretical foundation for protest. Fischer-Lescano and Möller write against growing social inequality and irreparable ecological damage. In light of hunger, refugee flows, climate disasters, and the impoverishment of large parts of the global population, responses beyond the nation-state are urgently needed. The authors highlight a variety of concrete points of connection in the law of global society to overcome neoliberal globalization. Emancipation can succeed in a European social rather than economic union, in a world that adheres to the rules of the UN Social Pact, and where companies are held accountable for their social and ecological transgressions. As Theodor W. Adorno famously stated: "The only thing that would be delicate is that no one has to go hungry anymore.".
