100 questions and 100 objects on the topic of racism. Companion volume to the exhibition of the same name at the German Hygiene Museum, Dresden (May 18, 2018 to January 7, 2019). This volume discusses central questions regarding the history of racial construction and race ideology through selected images and objects. Together with authors from research and educational practice, the curatorial team sheds light on the geopolitical dimension of racism during colonialism and addresses the role of the German Hygiene Museum in Nazi racial propaganda. In the context of current migration movements, they examine the aftermath of the colonial era and demonstrate the dynamics present in a socially and culturally diverse society. Many contributions focus on the extent to which the unconsidered reproduction of racist images occurs in science, politics, everyday life, and exhibitions.
