Excited and expectant, we looked into the future back then! Join us in reminiscing about the first 18 years of life - your childhood and youth! Born in 1969 and raised in East Germany, which means a sheltered childhood with family, kindergarten, and ten years of school together. We grew up in a small country that calls itself socialist but fears the flight of its residents. We ourselves are afraid of a nuclear war and are expected to be Young Pioneers, always ready to fight for peace. Yet in our colorful everyday lives, we prefer to think about climbing frames and TV time, camping holidays and summer camps, about Fassbrause and Hansa cookies, and later about f6 and cola with a shot.
