Vintage 1952 - the war had left its marks, but the era of economic upswing was beginning. With the State Treaty in 1955, the boom started, and soon portable radios, record players, televisions, cameras, and not least the status symbol of the car became part of everyday life. By the end of the "Swinging Sixties," a profound shift in values occurred - the protest movement of the "68ers" turned against all forms of consumer needs and belief in authority, leading to an unprecedented sense of liberation.
