Born in 1938, a year before the war began, many of us grew up without a father, as he was away at war. Towards the end of the war, the wailing of sirens and stays in bunkers dictated our daily routine. Life in the post-war period was marked by scarcity. But gradually, a hopeful future began to take shape. Our fathers returned home from captivity, if they had survived, and found work in the newly emerging businesses. The motorization also began, and soon the first pioneers were traveling on vacation to Italy.
