Mag. Ilona Mayer-Zach was born in 1963 in Graz. After completing her high school education, she worked in Italy for several years and traveled the world. An article about China marked her entry into journalism. Upon her return, she worked for the Austria Press Agency, among others, and completed her studies in journalism and communication science. In 2005, she founded her text agency IMNetzwerk and has since been writing as a freelance author for numerous publishers, media outlets, and companies. To date, she has published a total of 18 books, including crime novels, historical anecdotes and yearbooks, anthologies, as well as reading and writing support books for children. Additionally, she regularly publishes short stories, mystery puzzles, and plays. Ilona Mayer-Zach lives with her family in Vienna.
