Excited and expectant, we looked into the future back then! Join us in reminiscing about the first 18 years of life - your childhood and youth! Born in 1938, that was a childhood during the war and post-war period, and a youth in the emerging economic miracle. Our childhood years were marked by the wailing of sirens, flight and displacement, hunger and cold, rubble and death notices, but also by solidarity and the will to survive this time. As teenagers, we experienced the occupation period, the democratization of our country, and the currency reform. We had career prospects, were interested in fashion and music, and enthusiastically attended cinemas and dance schools.
