Born in 1939 - We were born into a difficult time, experiencing World War II, fear, and hardship. We played with our aunts in kindergarten and were happy when our father was on leave. 1945 - the war was over, and things slowly started to improve. In elementary school, we learned to write beautifully and played hopscotch in the streets in the afternoons. As teenagers, we idolized Conny and Peter. After passing our high school diploma or vocational training exam, we felt that the world was open to us.
