Lecture series of the International Committee of the Fourth International on the 100th anniversary Volume 2: Towards Workers' Power and Socialist World Revolution. From February to October 1917, Russia was shaken by two monumental revolutions. The first eliminated the Romanov dynasty, which had ruled the country for over 300 years. The second overthrew the bourgeois Provisional Government and established the first socialist workers' state in history. One hundred years after the Russian Revolution, the events of 1917, their consequences, and lessons remain subjects of fierce debate. The lectures and essays in this and the first volume come from leading members of the International Committee of the Fourth International. They were written on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution and shed light on its course from a Marxist perspective.
