This book contains detailed accounts of the Aryanization and the displacement of the art collections of 148 Jewish families in Vienna, spanning nearly 1500 pages. For two years, the author meticulously researched and gathered material. Hundreds of images, thousands of footnotes, as well as a name and place index highlight the encyclopedic nature of this book. Sophie Lillies' research and her incredible efforts form the foundation for numerous scholarly works in provenance research.
