The ongoing lively discussion about the concept of implicit knowledge has been significantly sparked in the German-speaking world by the book "Expertise and Implicit Knowledge." The tacit knowing view presented in it has been further developed by Georg Hans Neuweg over the past two decades in numerous contributions. This volume collects thirteen of these contributions, including a re-publication of the lecture manuscript "The Silence of Experts." The volume is divided into three parts. The contributions in the first part describe the phenomenon of implicit knowledge and illuminate the theory-practice problem. The middle part unfolds the metatheoretical perspective of the tacit knowing view. The texts in the third part are oriented towards teaching and learning theory, with particular attention given to motor learning, the implications for teacher education, and knowledge.
