"Educational language" and "Comprehensive language education" are terms that have been widely adopted as guiding concepts in research, education policy, didactic proposals, and pedagogical practice. They were initiated through the model project program FörMig ("Promotion of children and adolescents with a migration background"). The contributions gathered in this volume were developed in the context of FörMig. They demonstrate that the idea of "Comprehensive language education," which promotes educational language skills, is not just a theoretical concept but has foundations in both theory and empirical evidence, as well as practical applications. The volume provides not only definitions and theoretical foundations but also illustrative examples of how the idea can be realized in practice. The contributions are aimed at those interested in science and research as well as in pedagogical practice.
