Digital media now play a significant role in fulfilling the tasks of a university. For teaching and research purposes, texts, images, films, video sequences, recorded lectures, and software are used, among other things. The content is delivered in face-to-face events as well as in a time- and location-independent manner on online learning platforms. Exams are also increasingly conducted using computer-based methods. With this growing integration of digital media and blended learning concepts into higher education, numerous questions arise regarding copyright, data protection, and liability law. This book aims to provide a general overview of this topic.
