The religious education support for children in daycare centers and the educational partnership with their parents requires competent educators. For this reason, their personal attitude towards this topic is of great importance. The focus of this volume is the question of which religious educational and religious competencies educators consider fundamental for a professional religious education support of children in daycare centers and for cooperation with parents. Based on the religious and religious educational competencies formulated in the German-speaking religious education literature for educators, experienced educators from church and municipal institutions were interviewed using semi-standardized interviews on this topic.
