Product details

Inclusion in schools has been a topic of interest for many individuals since the ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: teachers, school leaders, parents, education policymakers, educational scientists, and so on. In this context, the American Response to Intervention (RTI) approach is frequently discussed internationally and, more recently, in Germany. RTI aims to prevent academic difficulties and to integrate children who already have developmental issues. Various studies have shown that the RTI approach is an effective concept that leads to a general reduction in the rate of (special) educational support needs and to improved learning outcomes for all children. The Rügen Inclusion Model (RIM) presented here is the first school concept in Germany based on the RTI approach.
