Christoph W. Bauer, born in 1968 in Carinthia, grew up in Tyrol. He writes poetry, prose, essays, radio plays, and translations. He has numerous publications and several awards, including the Reinhard-Priessnitz Prize (2001), the Audience Award at the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition (2002), the Prize of the Carinthian Writers' Association (2010), the Carinthian Poetry Prize (2014), the Outstanding Artist Award and the Tyrolean State Prize for Art (both in 2015), and most recently the Award for Artistic Creation from the City of Innsbruck (2021). His works published by Haymon include: "Wegen verzweigt. Gedichte" (1999), "Die Mobilität des Wassers müsste man mieten können. Gedichte" (2001), "Fontanalia. Fragmente. Gedichte und Prosa" (2003), "Aufstummen. Roman" (2004), "AHOI! Gedichte aus 25 Jahren Haymon Verlag" (ed., 2007), "Im Alphabet der Häuser" (2007), "Graubart Boulevard" (2008), "Als Kind war ich weise" (ed., 2009), "Der Buchdrucker der Medici" (2009, HAYMONtb 2015), "Gemeinsam mit Anton Christian schweben im Kopf" (2010), the poetry collections "Mein Lieben Mein Hassen Mein Mittendrin Du" (2011) and "Getaktet in herzstärkender Fremde" (2011), the portrait collection "Die zweite Fremde. Zehn Jüdische Lebensbilder" (2013), the narrative collection "In einer Bar unter dem Meer" (2013), the poetry collections "Orange sind die Äpfel Blau" and "Stromern" (both in 2015), and the novel "Niemandskinder" (2019). In February 2022, his new poetry collection "An den Hunden erkennst du die Zeiten" was published.
