Two friends run a café in Frankfurt. It is Christmas time, Advent. One of them is a mother of two children; she lost her husband years ago. Her friend Lilli became a mother at a young age and has had a rather difficult past. With a good dose of humor and wisdom, the two women navigate their daily lives - as mothers, as friends, as businesswomen, and as homeowners. Some time ago, they bought a weekend house in the Odenwald together, which is still uninhabitable, with an open roof and no windows. Yet it remains the focus of their thoughts and dreams: celebrating Christmas in this house together someday would be wonderful.
