The book aims to draw the reader's attention to a poet who, alongside Goethe, is considered one of the most significant representatives of German literature but seems to be increasingly forgotten. In particular, his dramatic works such as The Robbers, William Tell, Don Carlos, and Cabal and Love remain relevant, deserving to be given equal weight in contemporary theater alongside Shakespeare's plays. The outstanding dramatist Schiller is complemented in the book by the poet, aesthetician, and historian Schiller.
