In this wine guide, Swiss wine author Chandra Kurt presents a selection of oenological trouvailles year after year, i.e. highlights from the shelves of Aldi, Coop, Denner, Globus, Landi, Lidl, Manor, Spar and Volg. The book is a practical aid for enjoying wine at home and also a guide to which wine goes with which food. Over 500 wines primarily from Switzerland, Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, Austria and the New World are presented, most of which are priced between Fr. 7.- and 20.-.

All white wines, rosés, red wines, sparkling wines and sweet wines were tasted and evaluated this year. Many of the wines presented are organic and sustainably produced.
