Product details

Stephan Zantke is actually just a simple criminal judge in Zwickau. However, at the end of 2017, he made headlines across Europe. A Libyan refugee stood before his court, facing a long list of serious charges. When the defendant complained about "shitty Germany," Zantke asked, "If it's so shitty here, why are you then here?" This sentence gained traction. The intense media reactions show that Zantke struck a nerve. The question was an expression of his pent-up anger at the numerous criminals who gradually lose respect for the judiciary and the state. In this book, Zantke recounts his most drastic cases, including a 14-year-old boy who managed to instill fear in an entire community and a gang that specialized in robbing elderly people. Zantke provides insight.
