Annemie is almost sixty and has aged much better than she believes. When she has arranged the towels by color and the carpet fringes are lying parallel, she conjures up extravagant wedding cakes in her small kitchen. She works for Liz, who organizes weddings on a grand scale with her agency. A well-ordered life, until a fateful mix-up brings Annemie and the father of a bride closer together. The chaos begins, and suddenly everything is completely different.
