There are stories that slumber in secrecy. After an accident, the narrator's pain refuses to subside. Only therapy with a certain Monsieur Mounier brings relief. The microkinesiologist seems to be mysteriously connected to her and not only alleviates her discomfort but also awakens memories of her childhood. What had long been forgotten now insists on resurfacing with even greater urgency. She realizes that she cannot escape her past - the violent father and the envious mother - and that for this very reason, she must not turn a blind eye to anything.
