Fantasy author Robert Krauss sets off for Upper Lusatia with his new novel in tow. However, instead of a cozy week filled with relaxing reading evenings, he encounters murder, manslaughter, deceit, and fraud in every town. Along the way, he also discovers the beautiful aspects of the region: the unique landscape, the Lusatian culture, and, not least, the people; foremost among them are Commissioner Franzi Hartmann and her partner Roland Krämer, who always keep a watchful eye to ensure that everything is above board in Upper Lusatia.
