This package contains five copies of the thematic issue.

The thematic issue offers a multifaceted insight into British society as well as a comprehensive exploration of the current topics and challenges that the UK has been facing since Brexit. Knowledge of the English language and an understanding of the social and political changes in the UK are deepened through themes of British identity between tradition and change, the future of the British monarchy and the Commonwealth, as well as social inequalities in the UK. Practical exercises such as writing emails, analyzing narrative techniques, working with statistics, and composing commentaries accompany the theoretical content. These exercises promote language skills, critical thinking, and understanding of complex social contexts, helping learners navigate the English language with confidence.

The thematic issue is compatible with all titles of the qualification phase of the Camden Town Upper Secondary series as well as Camden Town Upper Secondary 2024 and is supplemented as usual by a competency-based workshop and differentiation materials.
