Revised edition for G9 according to the new core curriculum in geography for the school year 2015/2016. Geography means exploring spaces. Students are to learn to see the world and the planet Earth "with new eyes," understand connections, and form their own opinions. The new Diercke textbook for grades 5/6 at high schools in Lower Saxony aims to meet these demands. A new concept has been implemented for the textbook. The proven double-page principle has been retained, but now the left page primarily contains the geographical fundamental knowledge, while the right page mainly includes materials, exercises, and tasks. This allows for a methodologically varied geography lesson that aligns with the requirements of different competency areas, with specific tasks designed for transfer.
