The workbooks are aligned with national educational standards and focus on the competency area of writing with regard to fundamental spelling strategies. Strategy instruction and individual learning are emphasized. In each chapter, children independently select sentences from transcription texts that correspond to their level to copy. They learn not only correct transcription but also self-responsible checking. Additionally, they are given space within the chapters to note and practice words they personally find difficult.
