In pursuit of happiness, author Susanne Oswald, along with her pug Töps, explores various gardens in this book based on the eponymous SWR program: from natural and exotic gardens to artists' quarters, hillside gardens, and even patron and English gardens. Despite their differences, all these gardens share one thing in common: the garden owners find their personal happiness within them. The touching stories from garden life portray both private and prominent garden owners, such as television chefs Johann Lafer, Martina Meuth, and Bernd "Moritz" Neuner-Duttenhofer, as well as fashion designer Harald Glööckler, inspiring readers to become gardeners of their own happiness. Plant portraits of favorite flowers, gardening and health tips, along with recipes for dishes made from homegrown ingredients, complete the joy of gardening. The program related to the book will be broadcast on November 11th.
