Alastair Carnegie, Master Blender at McVicar and Whitelaw in Glasgow, can hardly believe his luck: he receives a sample of the legendary MacRitchie whisky, which has been resting under the eternal ice of Antarctica for over a hundred years, and recreates it. Two weeks before the Scotch's premiere, he is blackmailed by an unknown individual. Carnegie's reputation is at stake, as is the survival of the company, because this noble spirit, the whisky for the angels, is supposed to help them out of their financial slump.
