A Christmas Story - a Christmas Gift! The year 1538 is coming to an end, and the alleys of the city are covered with a fine layer of snow. The enticing scent of cinnamon and almond oil hangs over the Strasbourg Christmas market, but the young rogue Jakob feels anything but festive. Jakob has not a penny to his name and hasn't eaten anything proper for days. Shivering, he watches as a family of tailors leaves their home to bury their son. He cannot resist the temptation: unseen, he sneaks into the abandoned house and steals from the grieving family. But his guilty conscience won't let him rest: he wants to make amends for his wrongdoing - after all, it is Christmas.
