This fighting technique was taught by the great sword fighting masters of the Middle Ages just like the use of the longsword or the shortsword and buckler. It was an inseparable part of combat. The authors analyze medieval dagger fighting based on historical Talhoffer writings and develop a modern teaching concept from it.
