Product details

The concept of gentrification has not only reached the mainstream but is also still thriving in academia. However, despite the overwhelming number of local case studies, there are only a few international comparisons of gentrification processes among them. Based on his research in Vienna, Chicago, and Mexico City, sociologist Florian Huber presents a new approach in this book to address this research gap. Florian Huber is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Cultural and Social Anthropology at the University of Vienna. He also teaches at the Institute for Sociology at the University of Vienna and at FH Campus Wien, and he is a founding member of the Social Inequality section of the Austrian Society for Sociology.
