The Foundation Engineering Handbook is the most well-known and comprehensive German-language compendium in the field of geotechnics. For over 60 years, it has aimed to comprehensively compile and transparently convey developments, new experiences and insights, as well as current and new calculation and verification methods relevant to construction practice. The 8th edition has been thoroughly revised and updated. The second part of the Foundation Engineering Handbook addresses geotechnical methods along with their calculation and verification techniques: earthworks, ground improvement, injection and anchoring technology, soil freezing, horizontal drilling and pipe jacking, driving and drilling, groundwater control, geotechnical earthquake engineering, and geosynthetics in earth and foundation engineering. A new chapter on hydraulically induced limit states has been added.
