Product details
Meiko Haselhorst, born in 1974, is an editor, travel journalist, and author. Before "Willems Welt," he published the books "Latin America for a Handful of Dollars" and "Anecdotes and Poems of a Vagabond." Haselhorst has only been earning his living through writing for six years. After completing his secondary education, he trained as a carpenter and worked as a caregiver for the elderly. He later obtained his high school diploma, dropped out of two degree programs (journalism and ethnology), and spent several years in Spain as well as in Central and South America. There, he sought his fortune in various countries as a dishwasher, entertainer, language teacher, and worked for an extended period in a children's village and a national park. In 2005, he returned to Germany and began working as a freelance contributor in the local editorial office of the Neue Westfälische in Löhne after a brief stint as a mobile phone case inspector.
