Product details

The author invites readers to engage with Martin Buber's most famous work, "I and Thou," through her reading and comprehension aid. Alongside an old hit by Daliah Lavi, she introduces readers to a dialogue with the Jewish philosopher Martin Buber. This thinker developed a real utopia of interpersonal relationships in "I and Thou," which remains highly relevant today, despite being published over 80 years ago. Why? Deeply affected by the consequences of World War I, Martin Buber questioned how peace among nations is possible when peace is not merely the absence of war. In "I and Thou," he illustrates how appreciative relationships can exist not only between two individuals. However, for him, the relationship between two people is the seed of world peace: "Only when a person has found peace within themselves can they begin to achieve it.".
