In the region of the Saxon Highlands, there have been hardly any approaches to adapting tourism to the effects of climate change. Warmer temperatures and increasing snow shortages confront tourism operators, especially in winter, with a significant loss of demand in the current tourism structure. Therefore, on one hand, a stronger diversification of winter tourism offerings is unavoidable, and on the other hand, revenues must be shifted to other seasons, particularly summer (keyword "summer freshness"). In the theoretical part of the publication, important terms for understanding the publication are first defined, and the relationships between them are explained. Subsequently, the issue of anthropogenic climate change and the long-term economic consequences associated with climate change at both global and national levels are addressed.
