Heidi draws the young girl she has never been. Years ago, she wanted to become an artist, to study at the academy in Vienna, but the journey only took her as far as Innsbruck. Now she has a husband and a child, whom she never wanted. Only through Carmen, the pretty apprentice from the bakery, does she start dreaming again. Bruno has been working as a doorman in a hotel for thirty steady years. He has been to the doctor, and a bad result could be waiting for him. He still knows nothing definitive; it is his last night before the result. But it will be nothing, certainly not. For a moment, he is completely happy. It is in these moments that something changes in life, when something happens, and you hardly notice it. Moments that seem to be lifted out of time. A new world opens up, and you recognize the dead end you fell into long ago. And suddenly, a different atmosphere prevails.
