Ludwig Wittgenstein's 'Remarks on Colour' is considered an extremely difficult text. The present book gradually introduces the themes and issues of Wittgenstein's colour remarks and provides extensive explanations of the most important passages. This is noteworthy because the fragmentary text material from the last two years of Wittgenstein's life lacks a clear structure, the questions raised often seem strange, and for the most part remain unanswered. Therefore, it is not surprising that there has been no comprehensive philosophical study of the 'Remarks on Colour' until now. Frederik A. Gierlinger's book fills this gap in the history of reception for the first time.
