What consequences do discourses on migration, integration, and education have for youth work? How can the structures and offerings of youth work be changed and further developed in the context of a migration society? This book is aimed at researchers, students, and practitioners in youth work and critically and reflectively addresses structural questions of intercultural opening. In light of current research findings, it raises questions about the participation and involvement of young people with and without a migration background and highlights the potential of youth work for a migration society. The focus is on practice research projects in organizational and international youth work. It presents the prerequisites and processes of intercultural opening, discusses opening strategies, and outlines future tasks.
