The professionalization in the field of economic education is progressing steadily. By now, sophisticated competency models and educational standards for all graduation classes of general education schools are available; as well as core curricula that outline the mandatory content of economics classes. In this situation, teachers need more than ever methodological ideas and suggestions on how to effectively achieve the competency goals. In the Method Training for Economics Teaching II, tradition meets innovation. In addition to proven methods of economic education that must not be missing from any method training for economics classes, there are innovative teaching-learning arrangements that are unfortunately still too little known in German classrooms, although they are now widely used in the Anglo-Saxon world. Four contributions demonstrate how computers and technology can be integrated.
