The term migration refers to a current phenomenon with a global dimension. Migrations have always been essential components of human history, occurring in various forms and scales since prehistoric times. There has not yet been an educational resource that explores this diversity for school learning. The focus of the book consists of 16 individual chapters on different migration phenomena. The range includes the migration of early humans, ancient colonization, the slave trade, the migrations of Jewish people, and migrations of the 20th century (expulsion, resettlement, flight, improvement migration). Each chapter includes a content and didactic introduction as well as a material section (texts, images, maps, statistics) that is explored through assignments. The topic also encompasses interdisciplinary dimensions.
